After the horrific murders of the Defeo family on Ocean Avenue, George and Kathy Lutz believe that they have found a diamond in the rough in Amityville. After being in the house only a few hours the family begins experiencing supernatural occurrences and eventually leads to the family abandoning their dream home after only 28 days of living there.
